Nepal eye Hospital (NEH) first eye hospital of the country is proudly participated in the global celebration of World Sight Day on Thursday, 9th October 2025, an international day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of eye health. In alignment with this year’s theme — promoting accessible eye care, available sight tests, and affordable glasses — NEH is organizing several impactful activities across Nepal.
On Thursday, 9th October 2025, NEH provided free eye checkups in the hospital for senior citizens aged 70 and above. NEH displayed the standee of World Sight Day-2025 and banner at hospital premises.
In Collaboration with Nepal Netrajyoti Sangh, NEH organized free DST at Valley Special Security Force Tripureshwor, Kathmandu by providing free eye checkup of 200 officers and constable of Nepal Police, offering free medicine and reading glasses as required.
Additionally, NEH is conducting a two-day free diagnostic, screening, and treatment camp at Simara Eye Care Center and Ward 8, Simara, providing free eye examinations, medicines, and spectacles to those in need.
NEH will organize school-based screenings camp at Janata Secondary School in Amppipal and Chaturmala Secondary School in Bhachhek, Gorkha district, to support children’s vision health. These services will be provided to about 1000 students of public school.
